A hidden gem in Lexington. Cozy seating, warm atmosphere, open kitchen. The staff are always so friendly. The place doesn’t get too noisy or crowded. Now the food- I love the shareable gourmet bites they offer. They source their ingredients locally. Presentation is outstanding- they truly follow the idea that you eat with your eyes first. I took a bite of their recent Tuna appetizer and lost my train of thought. With my review, I’ll leave some pictures of the past few visits. The crab and lobster cakes pictured were AMAZING. The truffles are handmade in small batches, and a pleasant surprise at the end of a good meal. Don’t pass this place up if you’re passing through!

Went here on Wednesday night, it was pretty quiet. Cool interior, wondered what it would be like if full. The pork and pepper ragout was absolutely delicious, as was the colorful salad (if you like beets). Our server was nice and interested in explaining the wine list to us. Really excited to come back especially with the seasonal menu changes.

ZunZun is truly an experience. Every time you walk in, you know you’re in for an incredible time, and it’s always a little different from the last. The food is always amazing, packed with flavor and so thoughtfully crafted. There are a ton of gluten free options, which I appreciate. The service is spot-on and feels super personal. For my boyfriend’s birthday, every staff member signed a little card and left it on the table. Where else do you get that kind of care? The vibe is chill, the space is unique, and honestly, the whole place just feels like art. Someone called the owners artists, and I’m 100% seconding that. I also want to add that while this gem feels like a fine dining spot, they have a bar where you can order great cocktails and apps. You don’t have to do a full meal or make a reservation, just walking in is perfectly fine! Like I said, it’s an amazing experience and we can't wait to go back!

Zunzun is hands down the best dining experience you can have in Lexington. What immediately stands out is how thoughtfully the menu is curated. Each dish feels intentional, and there’s just the right amount of variety to satisfy everyone. Every meal I’ve had here has been consistently wonderful. The cocktails are another highlight. They’ve clearly put a lot of care into crafting a drink menu that’s both unique and always delicious. The atmosphere is also fantastic. It’s stylish and cozy! But what truly sets Zunzun apart, especially in Lexington, is the service. The owners are just genuinely cool, kind-hearted people who are effortlessly personable. I recently brought my big, eccentric, and demanding family here for my graduation dinner, and they handled everything with absolute grace. Not only did they keep up with our chaos, but they did it with smiles, patience, and humor. Everyone left feeling special, and that’s a rare thing.

Some of the best food in this part of Virginia and that’s a very big statement. Great people. Great atmosphere. Go here. You’ll love it.

See the yelp reviews. Basically it is a five star restaurant at two star prices. The food, the ambience, and the weight staff are all great. The menu changes almost weekly so it is impossible to make a recommendation about a particular entree. That said Chef Matt has been in the business for a long time and he knows what he’s doing. The restaurant also features special cocktails and an excellent wine selection. Don’t be afraid to ask for the bottle rather than by the glass. I had a salmon entree that was outstanding and my partner had a roasted cauliflower with shrimp that was equally good. It’s definitely an experience, especially for special occasions.

ZunZun is absolutely wonderful! The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff are all top notch. I love that their menu changes frequently and features unique and creative dishes with local ingredients. If you’re in Lexington, or even an hour away like me, you’ve got to stop in for a drink and meal.

This was our second visit to Zun Zun and it was even better than our first (which was kind of a lark). On our first visit we showed up with no reservation and noticed they were pretty full. After a bit of shuffling they found a table for us and served up what can only be described as magical. I'll confess, I didn't really do the ordering - the waiter suggested a few things, we nodded in agreement and the rest was - at least for us - a culinary awakening. As New Yorkers we know good food and this was VERY good. Did I mention that the place is run by some of the coolest people in restaurants? They are. Cut to our recent visit - we booked the Valentine's dinner special and they somehow found more ways to astonish is with their creativity and deliciousness. Inventive. Complex. Thinky but not too thinky. All served up by genuine and cool people. When was the last time you went to a restaurant and you got all of the feels? Literally all of them. Cheers to Zun Zun.
